Mixed Messages is a project which encourages participation in National Poetry Day 2016. National Poetry Day is an annual UK-wide celebration of poetry. You can find out more about National Poetry Day at the Forward Arts Foundation website. The theme for NPD 2016 is Messages. On the Scottish Poetry Library website you can read message-themed poems
Mixed Messages is the fevered brain-child of Georgi Gill. Georgi is a poet who has been published in Far off Places, The Interpreter’s House, Gutter and Dactyl. Her poems have also been featured in A New Manchester Alphabet (Manchester Metropolitan University, 2015). Georgi is Learning Manager at the Scottish Poetry Library in Edinburgh and is also writing towards a Master of Arts in Creative Writing with Manchester Metropolitan University. When she is not writing, reading, studying or teaching poetry, she can be found eating cake or speaking ‘The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock’ aloud to her cat, Mia.
Georgi occasionally appears on Twitter as @georgi_gill
I love this! What a celebration of poetry and collaboration! I look forward to following and participating!

Thank you for your kind words! I’m currently looking for people to make audio recordings of the poems to feature on the blog and in a couple of weeks I’ll be posting resources to help people run their own Mixed Messages projects. If you’d like to find out more about either of these, please do get in touch via mixedmessagespoetry@gmail.com. All best wishes, Georgi
